Faith Through Frustration
One of my favorite jobs is being the executive assistant for #TeamKEMP. Every week I find motivational quotes to share with Kevin’s team. Here are three that I really enjoyed this month:
- “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” Zig Ziglar
- “Remember that failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.” Zig Ziglar
- “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Josh Billings
Feeling down and out? Keep the faith!
I remember being frustrated in the previous season for a very long time. Funny that when we were suddenly lunged from that season to a new one I was immediately frustrated again. I was constantly thinking “what am I supposed to do here? I wasn’t ready to move so quickly!” Those thoughts were brief because I was quickly reminded that every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction. A mature Saint also reminded us that progression means you passed the test and I’m grateful for that.
Be mindful of how you handle each season. It is only God’s way of ensuring you can handle what He has shown you. We love harvest time but let’s not forget the preparation, planting, and pruning, that must be done to maintain our growth as well.
Be encouraged, IT IS JUST A SEASON!
Disclaimer: This blog post was inspired by and includes a social media status I posted years ago. I thought it was a great reminder to focus on faith during moments of frustration.

Marriage, Motherhood, Makeup, & Homeschool
It was FOOTBALL SATURDAY!!! Our oldest had just scored a touchdown on the field, while the sleepy, frustrated, and hot toddlers were acting out in the bleachers. As team mom, I tried to smile and push through the tantrums but at half-time, I was fed ALL THE WAY UP. I decided to head to the car and at the park entrance gate I saw a boy sitting alone and crying. My heart melts because the boy looks like he is my oldest son’s age, with glasses and everything. Mind you, I watched several families walk past him and not acknowledge him at all.
Mother instinct kicked in, I approached him and introduced myself, but kept some distance. He told me he was lost and couldn’t find his mother. I asked if he could help me help him by telling me his name and who he is here with. Then, I…
