Last year I introduced my son to the Hank the Cowdog series by John R. Erickson. I enjoyed this series as a child and gladly shared Hank’s funny stories with Bear. Hank has his share of adventure while solving mysteries on a ranch in the panhandle. Throughout the series, you’ll be introduced to various characters that add a fun flair like Drover, the sidekick, and Pete the Barn Cat. These Texas tales are available in physical books or audiobooks with original songs performed by Hank. We recommend this series for ages 8 and up.
