Both books provide continuous practice questions with a space to write the answers in the side column. The number of math problems varies per page but each allows for ample opportunities to perfect the concepts.

Bam Bam and Bear used one worksheet from Basic Math Skills Rescue Parts 1 and 2 each day to review math concepts. Though Bear is in 8th Grade, he still likes to have a quick math warm-up before he begins a new lesson. These workbooks are just what we need to prepare for high school math. Bam Bam is currently doing 3rd Grade math so the worksheets at the beginning of Part 1 were used by him. Again, it is important to note that this book does not include lessons for instruction, those are provided via online tutorials. Using these videos will be the added review and boost of confidence your child needs to be successful. The Helpful Hints at the top of the page also give guidance if your child forgets the concepts needed to complete a problem. We recommend these books from Math Essentials to families with students in 3rd to 9th Grade. Building a strong math foundation equips your child for Algebra as well as other advanced math, science, and technical classes.
