My “go to” Spring & Summer Makeup Looks

The southern heat is no joke but that doesn’t mean that I can’t leave my house with a flawless face. Granted, it may sweat off in an hour but when my feet exit my humble abode “Baby, I look good!” Since these looks are light they don’t take long to initially create or touch up if needed.

First up, is my powder foundation routine. For this look I use a cream to powder foundation as concealer and apply a natural colored face powder to my entire face. Using a bit of elf makeup mist and set on your powder brush will make the powder application process smooth and quick.

Next, I occasionally wear colorful eyeshadow looks with nude lips. These are great to wear to family functions, picnics, parties, and especially on nights out with my friends. For these looks I use my BH Cosmetics 88 tropical or Lorac GLOgetter palettes. Colorful eyeshadow looks best with solid color clothing because your pop of color, or creative accessory, is your eyes.

Finally, I enjoy wearing a simple look that I call “liner, lashes, and lips”. I love this look because it can be quickly applied before an errand run to brighten your face. I also transform this into a sultry look for date nights with my husband by smudging the eyeliner, adding a half strip lash, and wearing lip gloss.

Either of these three makeup routines will keep you gorgeous and glowing throughout the Spring and Summer seasons. But remember to apply SPF to your face prior to makeup application. Protect your skin but don’t be afraid to step out and enjoy the warm weather with or without makeup.

Make this week delightful,
