I’d like to start blog off by giving my family a super High-5 and Double Fist Pump for having an awesome homeschool year! Oh yeah! We did it!! We kicked Kinder’s butt!
For our curriculum this year we used My Father’s World and we supplemented with various workbooks, unit studies I created, and library items. We attended eight field trips, joined a great Christian homeschool group, and even hosted a Super Science class at our local recreation center. YES, you read correctly, we did all of that while welcoming a new, SURPRISE BABY into our family and adjusting our lives accordingly. We did that! We kicked Kinder’s butt!!
WE DID IT BY THE GRACE OF THE MOST HIGH, SOVEREIGN GOD!
I’m truly enjoying our homeschool journey and watching my children grow academically and family grow closer through the process. God is so good! I’m grateful for my King, my husband that has allowed the opportunity to train our arrows. I’m also extremely appreciative for those that support our journey and encourage us. We give God all the praise for an awesome year and look forward to a fantastic first grade school year.
Homeschool was our choice and it is working well for us but no matter how your family decides to educate your children be sure to stay involved. Encourage your children daily, be present at the school often, and communicate with all staff involved in your child’s school day. I’m talking ALL STAFF! Say hello to the lunch lady and bus monitor, wave at the teacher’s aid, and hug the teacher. Make your presence known so every person knows your child’s education is important to you. Keep your arrows sharp.
