Recently, Me and My Big Ideas released a new set of planners that feature various updated layouts. Since daily scripture writing and memory has become one of my goals for this year I opted to try their new Faith Warrior planner. This new line featured several classic and mini size planners, washi tape, dashboards, and stickers. As an updated feature, these planners were available with various covers and included metal discs.
This faith planner features a daily layout for the SOAP or SOAK scripture study method. This popular method of Bible study gives an opportunity to break down the verses that you go over each day. You start by reading the scripture then you write down any observations that you learned from the text. Next, you write how this scripture applies to your life or how you can apply it in the future. You end this study with prayer time during which you can go over what you learned or just go to God in prayer for anything that is on your heart.
I have noticed many people saying that they were having trouble with this new SOAP/SOAK layout. Most feel that there isn’t enough room to write down their thoughts. Others have noted that they miss the open space of the usual horizontal presentation. I was excited to try something new and this layout is actually working for me. I decided to create this video to show how I’m using my Faith Warrior in 2019 and hope these tips help other planners.
