By the Way has introduced four new adventures since we last encountered them. The cool kids were happy to have another opportunity to review a selection from the By the Way Book Series. We used this book to study the rich culture, history, and atmosphere of Ireland.

Bear and I co-wrote this review about Rescue Me! What Superheroes Can Teach Us about the Power of Faith. The first installment of The Captain Sun Adventures was enjoyable with tidbits offer age appropriate insight into knowing God and Jesus.

August 2018 Homeschool Wrap-up

August was full of great literature, some skating, lots of laughter, music, emotional read-aloud books, and presentations to the grandparents. We had a blessed month and enjoy sharing these memories.

Review: Kingdom Files Children’s Bible Study Series

We are excited to share our review of two Kingdom Files books offered by Barbour Publishing. Working through Who Was Mary, Mother of Jesus? and Who Was Jonah? made our children enjoyed Bible Study time all the more. Each book features a fun, investigative layout, life application points, and detailed narrative about a prominent Bible figure.

Bam Bam was elated to use and review the Mathseeds program by Reading Eggs. During the review period, we used the online program along with the 200 Essential Math Skills for Kindergarten workbook.

Should Christian Homeschoolers Learn Greek Mythology?

Upon opening his new curriculum, Bear noted that there were a lot of books discussing Greek and Egyptian mythology. This led to an interesting discussion about the whether or not a Christian homeschooler should learn about the mythical beliefs of ancient cultures.
