Review: RINGLEADERS Bible Study by Truth Becomes Her

Today’s review features our thoughts on The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS by Truth Becomes Her. We received the Ringleaders bundle which includes a book, journal, coloring book, and devotional.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RINGLEADERS is the next installment to the original The Adventures of Rooney Cruz series and the introduction of Bible Belles. The stories within this series include Rooney’s life and how she is inspired by different women from the Bible. While reading, your child will learn about six women from the New Testament while Rooney discovers the news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. These items are designed for early and independent readers, ages 4 to 10 to enjoy. This series has a unique touch because it was written by a mother, designed by a former Veggie Tales book designer, and illustrated by a former Disney animator.

The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS book begins with Rooney preparing for the upcoming school play. As she begins to study for her desired role she becomes nervous and asks God to help her remember the power of prayer, patience, bravery, loyalty, and leadership. She is encouraged by an angel that reminds her possibilities are endless for those that believe in Jesus Christ. He also learns that there were many other women before her that paved the way in The Bible and they are called the ringleaders. These women’s stories are important because they will help give her the encouragement boost that she needs to complete her task of sharing a special message. From there, Rooney is taken to different places throughout New Testament history where she gets to see Elizabeth, Mary the mother of Jesus, the Samaritan woman, Mary Magdalene, as well as Mary and her sister Martha. She also learns how these women played a part in the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their stories help Rooney navigate through her feelings while preparing, patiently waiting, and eventually performing in the school play.

The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS Coloring Book is a collection of beautiful illustrations from the book. Your daughter is allowed to design Rooney’s play costume, recreate the scene with Jesus and the Samaritan woman, color the happy face of Joseph holding newborn Jesus, and so much more. The pages are quality, high weight paper do crayons, markers, color pencils, paint, and watercolors can be used.

The RINGLEADERS A Journal for Mothers and Daughters pair perfectly with the book and devotional. This interactive journal allows moms and daughters to write their thoughts about the stories of the six New Testament women as they read. There are simple, easy to understand prompts with plenty of free space for writing, drawing, or coloring.

The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS: A Devotional for Girls provides 40 daily lessons. Each focuses on teaching your daughter how to use her voice for the good of others and to glorify God. The daily devotions include the stories of Elizabeth, Mary the mother of Jesus, the Samaritan woman, Mary Magdalene, as well as Mary and her sister Martha so it can be used while reading the book. Each lesson also offers memory verses, activities, prayers, discussion questions, and plenty of space for note-taking. The same colorful and gorgeous illustrations are seen within the book are also included inside the devotional. The activities include drawing, prayer, conversations, and much more.

OUR ROUTINE & FINAL THOUGHTS
Since my daughter is in Kindergarten we mainly used the book and coloring book. We read through the book every night at bedtime and she colored pages after school. She also took her book to church so she could show her friends. All the items we received were well made and of high quality. The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS hardcover book features beautiful illustrations, high-quality pages, as well as several pages dedicated to simply scripture. The story flowed well and was easy to understand while being read aloud to my daughter. I was amazed by the author’s ability to incorporate the biblical stories and keep without taking away from the scripture. I also appreciated the dialogue from the characters and how Rooney was encouraged and inspired by each of them. I think The RINGLEADERS A Journal for Mothers and Daughters would be great for older girls and I plan on using it once Princess turns 7 years old. I think that The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS: A Devotional for Girls would be great for girls to begin around Second or Third Grade. The Adventures of Rooney Cruz RINGLEADERS by Truth Becomes Her does a great job of offering young girls a chance to see Bible sheroes in action. We recommend this series for girls ages 5 to 11 and encourage parents to enhance it by also reading the scripture to them.
