You ever read something and think “FINALLY, this author gets me completely,”? That’s the exact feelings that I had when I hosted a book study for Kingdom Woman, co-authored by Tony Evans and Chrystal Evans Hurst. Initially, I read the book to accompany my husband while he was part of a Kingdom Man book study without church. After reading the book, I knew I had to invite other women to check it out so I created a study group with some women from our church. The response was phenomenal, and I know the ladies that participated really enjoyed the book, the discussion, and the giveaway prizes.
My favorite part about this book was the different perspectives each author brought to the topic. I loved the way Dr. Evans provided detailed bible knowledge and walked you through the scripture and testimonies of why God’s design for womanhood works. I also loved how Mrs. Hurst was able to include the life application for women and soften the verbiage of her father with situations that we can relate too. In my opinion, neither author outdid one another as their abilities were definitely portrayed through every word.
