One day I just looked in the mirror and realized that if I didn’t do something different then I would die. Yes, my laziness would turn into my main ailment and literally kill me sooner rather than later. So, I started my journey and a week later I got lazy and quit
I knew better so I decided to start this journey again. After a few days I thought “Wow, I have been doing this for three days now with no results. Let’s rest and start again at the beginning of the month.” Yep, that’s never worked before but this time I totally hoped that it might.
Okay, husband ended up sick and I had to hear some not so great news from the doctor while he was in the hospital. I got myself together and started again. Two weeks later. . . Nah, I’m still young. Let’s keep on being sporadic and see where that takes me.
Husband got sick again and that warning yellow light, finally turned red for me. Oh and there were buzzers and the sound “WARNING, WARNING, WARNING” kept blaring in my ears. That’s when I decided to set a goal and really focus on my weight loss.
That italicized summary of thoughts covers a span of four years filled with wonderful moments including the birth of our last two children, Bam Bam and Princess. It also includes some terrifying moments when you have to truly self-reflect and decide if you want to live and for how long. So, that’s how Weight Loss Wednesdays was born.

In doing this journey I decided to post it online for encouragement, extra accountability, and as a visual journal of my story. Every clip on my Instagram, update on my YouTube channel, and monthly blog post will serve as reminders that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). I’m so excited at the success I’ve already had and truly grateful for the support of my real-time and online family/friends.
