Special musical tributes created by my husband and our sons.
This week, Kevin and I were invited to participate in a panel discussion about marriage. Afterward, we decided to jump on Facebook Live and share some testimonies about our journey. We both reminisced about the prophecies shared with us in the early years. It was amazing to think back on how we've been blessed with … Continue reading God’s Promises and Pathways
Enjoy a quick anecdote with tips on how to fully support your husband.
This week, my husband Kevin and I celebrated 13 years of marriage.
One of my favorite jobs is being the executive assistant for #TeamKEMP. Every week I find motivational quotes to share with Kevin’s team. Here are three that I really enjoyed this month:
- “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” Zig Ziglar
- “Remember that failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.” Zig Ziglar
- “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Josh Billings
Feeling down and out? Keep the faith!
I remember being frustrated in the previous season for a very long time. Funny that when we were suddenly lunged from that season to a new one I was immediately frustrated again. I was constantly thinking “what am I supposed to do here? I wasn’t ready to move so quickly!” Those thoughts were brief because I was quickly reminded that every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction. A mature Saint also reminded us that progression means you passed the test and I’m grateful for that.
Be mindful of how you handle each season. It is only God’s way of ensuring you can handle what He has shown you. We love harvest time but let’s not forget the preparation, planting, and pruning, that must be done to maintain our growth as well.
Be encouraged, IT IS JUST A SEASON!
Disclaimer: This blog post was inspired by and includes a social media status I posted years ago. I thought it was a great reminder to focus on faith during moments of frustration.

It was FOOTBALL SATURDAY!!! Our oldest had just scored a touchdown on the field, while the sleepy, frustrated, and hot toddlers were acting out in the bleachers. As team mom, I tried to smile and push through the tantrums but at half-time, I was fed ALL THE WAY UP. I decided to head to the car and at the park entrance gate I saw a boy sitting alone and crying. My heart melts because the boy looks like he is my oldest son’s age, with glasses and everything. Mind you, I watched several families walk past him and not acknowledge him at all.
Mother instinct kicked in, I approached him and introduced myself, but kept some distance. He told me he was lost and couldn’t find his mother. I asked if he could help me help him by telling me his name and who he is here with. Then, I…

I don't know what it is about my anniversary that makes me feel like a new woman in love all over again. I go out of my way to look extraordinary to remind Kevin of why he chose me. November is upon us and keeping with the season, I thought I’d spend this month posting various testimonies and sharing a few things I am grateful and thankful for. This also coincides with the awesome news that Kevin and I are CELEBRATING OUR 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Throughout the years we have endured so much and … Continue reading Celebrating A Decade of Marriage #TeamKEMP
Let me tell you about how much I enjoy being covered by the man that God designed for me to mind. On March 26, 2017 our town was hit by a terrible storm from a hovering tornado that subsequently touched down a neighboring city. After the first wave of bad weather the children and I went … Continue reading My Super Husband is our Superhero
