Enjoy a quick anecdote with tips on how to fully support your husband.
One of my favorite jobs is being the executive assistant for #TeamKEMP. Every week I find motivational quotes to share with Kevin’s team. Here are three that I really enjoyed this month:
- “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” Zig Ziglar
- “Remember that failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.” Zig Ziglar
- “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Josh Billings
Feeling down and out? Keep the faith!
I remember being frustrated in the previous season for a very long time. Funny that when we were suddenly lunged from that season to a new one I was immediately frustrated again. I was constantly thinking “what am I supposed to do here? I wasn’t ready to move so quickly!” Those thoughts were brief because I was quickly reminded that every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction. A mature Saint also reminded us that progression means you passed the test and I’m grateful for that.
Be mindful of how you handle each season. It is only God’s way of ensuring you can handle what He has shown you. We love harvest time but let’s not forget the preparation, planting, and pruning, that must be done to maintain our growth as well.
Be encouraged, IT IS JUST A SEASON!

It was FOOTBALL SATURDAY!!! Our oldest had just scored a touchdown on the field, while the sleepy, frustrated, and hot toddlers were acting out in the bleachers. As team mom, I tried to smile and push through the tantrums but at half-time, I was fed ALL THE WAY UP. I decided to head to the car and at the park entrance gate I saw a boy sitting alone and crying. My heart melts because the boy looks like he is my oldest son’s age, with glasses and everything. Mind you, I watched several families walk past him and not acknowledge him at all.
Mother instinct kicked in, I approached him and introduced myself, but kept some distance. He told me he was lost and couldn’t find his mother. I asked if he could help me help him by telling me his name and who he is here with. Then, I…

I posted this Facebook status update back in July of 2013 and thought it was worth sharing again today. ----- Every Sunday I look forward to seeing a little boy at my church. Why? Well because EVERY SUNDAY he proudly shows me his Bible. He tells me who bought it for him and why it … Continue reading I love my Bible!
Does God hear me when I pray? Will God answer my prayers? How do I know my prayer has been answered? Every believer has wondered these things at one time or another. I'm simply posting this blog as a reminder to myself and encouragement for every other believer out there. Know that God hears … Continue reading God, I thank you for answered prayers!
Prior to the "I do" commitments a future bride will dream of the perfect man. That perfect man will become her dreamy boyfriend, who then asks for her hand in marriage, making him a dashing fiancé, and soon thereafter a wonderful husband. After we get the proposal ring and the planning sets in motion, there … Continue reading Here Is Hope: Overbearing In-Laws
This social media status came across my memories today and I had to share it with you all. "Husband was on the phone when he said the quote of the day, "My wife hasn't worked in 7 years." I remember praying to be a SAHM. I remember the day I became one and my husband … Continue reading God WILL Provide
This challenge comes at a time in my life when so much transition is going on in a grand way. First, we completed our family when we were blessed to have a great little girl (pregnancy blog coming soon), and second we have moved from the home and town where our love and life began. … Continue reading Rember Your History of Victory
Yesterday was a bad homeschool day. It was one of the worst homeschool days we have had in a while. It started off okay, but as soon as we got to our new unit of creative writing, I could see my son was not interested. That's when the war started. As soon as I start … Continue reading I’m EQUIPPED to succeed!
I didn't think I would continue to push myself any further after stepping out of my Comfort Zone for last month's growth challenge but... Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it … Continue reading Trust Through Transitions
Special shout out to my great husband for encouraging me to be better, reach higher, work harder, and especially for his persistent pushing. If my Comfort Zone were an actual place, I imagine that it would have mood lighting, plenty of plush of pillows, and a sectional couches with recliners. Why? Because I love seating … Continue reading Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
