Faith Through Frustration

One of my favorite jobs is being the executive assistant for #TeamKEMP. Every week I find motivational quotes to share with Kevin’s team. Here are three that I really enjoyed this month:

  • “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” Zig Ziglar
  • “Remember that failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.” Zig Ziglar
  • “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Josh Billings

Feeling down and out? Keep the faith!

I remember being frustrated in the previous season for a very long time. Funny that when we were suddenly lunged from that season to a new one I was immediately frustrated again. I was constantly thinking “what am I supposed to do here? I wasn’t ready to move so quickly!” Those thoughts were brief because I was quickly reminded that every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction. A mature Saint also reminded us that progression means you passed the test and I’m grateful for that.

Be mindful of how you handle each season. It is only God’s way of ensuring you can handle what He has shown you. We love harvest time but let’s not forget the preparation, planting, and pruning, that must be done to maintain our growth as well.

Be encouraged, IT IS JUST A SEASON!

Disclaimer: This blog post was inspired by and includes a social media status I posted years ago. I thought it was a great reminder to focus on faith during moments of frustration.

It was FOOTBALL SATURDAY!!! Our oldest had just scored a touchdown on the field, while the sleepy, frustrated, and hot toddlers were acting out in the bleachers. As team mom, I tried to smile and push through the tantrums but at half-time, I was fed ALL THE WAY UP. I decided to head to the car and at the park entrance gate I saw a boy sitting alone and crying. My heart melts because the boy looks like he is my oldest son’s age, with glasses and everything. Mind you, I watched several families walk past him and not acknowledge him at all.

Mother instinct kicked in, I approached him and introduced myself, but kept some distance. He told me he was lost and couldn’t find his mother. I asked if he could help me help him by telling me his name and who he is here with. Then, I…

Why We Still Celebrate CHRISTmas!

Happy Holidays!

Yes, we STILL celebrate CHRISTmas and enjoy the holiday season. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I also pray that the words from my original blog post encourage each Believer that reads this.

See you in 2019!

Marriage, Motherhood, Makeup, & Homeschool

Dear Believers,
During this holiday season, more than ever before, I’ve seen plenty of videos and status updates turned debates depicting the “truth about Christmas.” However, I hope that you are being mindful of the information and the source thereof. Study, learn, grow, and teach the truth but be careful that your knowledge doesn’t turn you away from God, through Jesus Christ.

You’re awakened, we get it.

The world is pagan, we get that too.
Celebrate if you want to or ignore the day all together, but don’t beat down your family and friends because of your new found knowledge. Remember, it isn’t wise to reprimand people and then go eat their food and accept their gifts on 12/25. I know that Galatians 4:10-11 is used to argue why we should only celebrate God’s holy days and feasts whileJeremiah 10:1-4 is argued to avoid Christmas trees. I believe this awesome…
